Did it hold, just beyond the glitching screen of grey and black lines, beyond the flipping channels and thousands of voices; A human brain? Eyes and other sensory organs from which it used to look at me? Was there rushing blood and twitching muscle inside the plastic confines of the television set? Did the brain pulse with life? Did the eyes blink and stare? Did its heart beat and pound within its human-like chest, rattling against its ribcage? Did it have veins? Did it breathe through the cassette player near the bottom of the TV? Did it see me through the screen?
